Job Description

We are looking for a back-end PHP developer. You’ll be working together with the DAILY&CO team, exchanging regularly with the different members of the team in order to improve our platform & systems.

What You'll Do:

• Be involved and participate in the overall application lifecycle

• Focus mainly on coding and debugging

• Collaborate with Front-end developers

• Define and communicate technical and design requirements

• Provide training, help and support to other team members

• Build high-quality reusable code that can be used in thew future

• Develop functional and sustainable web applications with clean codes

• Troubleshoot and debug applications

• Learn about new technologies

• Stay up to date with current best practices

• Conduct UI tests and optimize performance

• Manage cutting-edge technologies to improve applications

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team of developers and system administrators

• Participate in conferences and educational programs

• Follow new and emerging technologies

Tech :

- Elaboration (specification, development and documentation) of Rest API

- Development of internal features and tools

- Improve the stability, performance and security of the platform

- Improvement of the CI/CD layer for even more automation and better code quality

- Continuous improvement of the software architecture and the techno stack (PHP 7.4, queues and workers, infra, monitoring and notifications, ...)

- Infra AWS for an auto-scaled and dockerized architecture

- Automated deployment process (dev/preprod/prod, branch merge, unit tests, ...)

- PHP

- Phalcon Framework

- Queuing: SQS + PHP workers

- DB: MySql 8.0

- Agile / Scrum Methodology with 2 week sprints, daily, demo and retro, all led by a PO.

- Tooling: Github, Slack

- Management of projects (functional specs, technical specs, breakdown, estimation) then adapting follow-up according to the technical challenge

- Code review

Skills Required:

• 5 years of experience as a Back-end developer

• In-depth understanding of web development

• Familiarity with front-end languages such as HTML, JavaScript and CSS

• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills

• Team player

• Good organizational and time-management skills

• Great interpersonal and communication skills

• BA degree in Computer Science or similar relevant field

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: 1,500.00€ - 2,000.00€ per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Oeiras, Distrito de Lisboa: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
